Weddingbird frequently asked questions

About us

We saw a colleague manually add guests onto a wedding place card template and thought something had to be done. Weddingbird was founded with the aim to take the pain out of the grunt work, so you can spend more time doing what matters most.

Currently Weddingbird is a place card maker with guest list support, but our templates will eventually extend to thank you cards, save the date, wedding invitations, wedding menus, wedding monograms... basically all things wedding related!

Our vision is to reinvent wedding planning and become the go-to platform for helping people create the perfect wedding.

How much do Weddingbird place cards cost to purchase?

The templates cost $5 (USD) and you can create place cards for as many guests as you like. There are also a selection of free templates to choose from as well.

Will the final print-out be watermarked?

The final print-out will not be watermarked. On paid templates, a preview is available before a purchase is made. The previews only generate the first page of place cards and are watermarked. The final product will contain all the names of the guests you have entered and will not be watermarked.

How will I receive my place cards?

Once you have purchased your place cards, you will be presented with a link to download them. You will also be sent an email with the place cards attached so you have a copy of them in the future. For our free templates, the place cards will be downloaded as soon as you click 'Download free place cards'.

Does Weddingbird support languages other than English?

We currently support English only, but there are some Google fonts that do support other languages. If your place cards need language support, please let us know! We are more than happy to help.

What type of paper should I use to print the place cards onto?

There are many paper types to choose from and it mostly boils down to the finish you like the most. Do you prefer an uncoated smooth matte feel? or maybe something glossy? To help you better understand what's available, we've put together a guide on paper types and paper weights for place cards.

What paper weight should I use to print the place cards onto?

The paper weight of your place card is an important element to consider to ensure that your place cards feel up to the quality of your standard. Paper weights are commonly measured in GSM and you can get an idea using some reference points in our blog Paper types and paper weights for place cards.

How do you process payments and is it secure?

Weddingbird accepts all major debit and credit cards in every country. Your payment will be processed based on your selected payment method of either Stripe or Paypal. Both Stripe and Paypal take security very seriously and are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

We hope you love our service as much as we enjoyed building it.
